Hi, update is done from samsung servers and it contains huge data ranging from 200 mb to 400 mb at a time. Nearly 1/5 of a gb size. Could any one suggest where i could see the contents of software update . i tried but could not locate. It only shows update install and then updated messages.

Hi, Why this ? EVen a developer of google app is giving new contents in their app. Huge data update and nothing that a user or consumer to know, what those update contain. just imagine 8 gb phones having to update with that limited memory , with already installed OS. Google is updating regularly with 30, whatsapp about 50 mbs , which you cannot ignore to use the internet.
Would there be any discussion atleast on this very important issue. Does it apply to only the OS or also to default applications? I seldom receive any positive response from the developers of the default app, say message. There is no provision of saving messages to a folder in the default apps.
Sorry for voicing, but should not the users know what the update contains atleast?
I will check sammobile as per your advice.

You mean over the air. I have already contacted their support and they also say that i could not see the contents. I can guess the security issue it involves, but samsung must also care for user storage and user right to know of the contents. Even microsoft explains in detail about the updates.
I also come across posts, where the update has been the cause of some related problems of performance. How to know and express those things if samsung just give OTA. Today only i know what OTA means
