How To Search For Available Mobile Networks On A Galaxy Smartphone?

Some times you will not get a good mobile signal reception even if there is adequate strength in the location, it can be due to various reasons. So the best thing to do in those times is to manually select the mobile network to which you want to "register" it. So lets see how can we do this on your favourite Samsung Galaxy Android Smartphone.

Please note that the below tutorial is based on Galaxy A7 running on Marshmallow 6.0.1 firmware, on other versions also the procedure will be more or less same.

Steps To Search For Available Mobile Networks On A Galaxy Smartphone Manually

1. First open your app drawer and tap on the "Settings" icon.

2. Once done, you will get a window like the one shown below, scroll little down and tap on "More networks".

3. Now you will get the below screen. Here tap on "Mobile networks".

4. Once you get the below screen, tap on "Network operators" and you will get the below window.

5. When you get the below screen tap on "Search networks".

Once you tap the "Search Networks" you will get a list of available networks. Find your network and tap on to select it. Please note that you cannot select any other network except your SIM cards native network (except when you are in international roaming).

However if you want to change the network type to 2G, 3G, LTE etc, you can do that by checking the below screenshot.
